Book Beginnings - The Everlasting Man: A Guide to G. K. Chesterton's Masterpiece
For Rose City Reader's Book Beginnings on Fridays "where participants share the opening sentence (or two) from the book they are reading."
After I had posted a book beginnings entry for The Everlasting People: G. K. Chesterton and the First Nations by Matthew J. Milliner, I watched a YouTube video by Faith&books in which she mentioned that the book chosen for her theology book club this first quarter is The Everlasting Man by G.K. Chesterton.
So I plan to read Chesterton's book (published in 1925) before reading Milliner's 2021 book, which in conversation with Chesterton.

The edition I am reading is a new publication of Chesterton's 100-year-old work, with notes and commentary by Dale Ahlquist.
